General Information
More Saturday Hours!

Our hours of operations are as follows:

Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.                                Saturday           7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (newly expanded!)                                Sunday             4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (drop off and pick up only)

Pre-scheduled appointments are preferred, as we try to maintain a timely schedule. We appreciate 24 hour notice for any cancellations, since our time is at a premium.

All surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthetic procedures are monitored closely by a Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician. Only a licensed veterinarian will perform surgeries or dental extractions. We utilize our well trained Licensed Technicians to administer anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, draw blood for testing, and more. Your pet is treated like our own, and you should not expect anything less.

We have certain requirements for patients having an anesthetic procedure depending upon their age or health status. These requirements are intended to ensure that your pet remains safe during and after anesthesia. This may include an intravenous catheter, intravenous fluids, pain medications, and monitoring with a pulse oximeter, electrocardiogram (ECG), and/or blood pressure. We take pain control very seriously, and will administer it as the patient or surgery dictates. If you think that your pet’s pain is ever not controlled, please call us immediately.

We respect the fact that our doctors and staff members have lives outside of work, so we refer after hours emergencies to the Columbus Veterinary Emergency Service. They are ready for any emergencies 24 hours a day, and we would trust them with any of our pets. They also have board certified specialists on hand if the need arises. Within several hours, we usually have reports in hand or have spoken to them personally.
